Today we Feng Shui’d the living room. And by that I mean we swapped the sofas around. I’m acutely aware of the fact that Feng Shui is more inclusive of things like compass directions and formulaic furniture positioning, or some shit, but we just put a sofa in the middle of the room and chucked a chair in the corner.
Next month we’ll be one month short of having lived here a year (which is a long-winded way of saying we’ve been here 10 months). I guess we just wanted a bit of a change up. Well, Alice wanted a bit of a change up, I just did the heavily lifting. Well, Alice did the heavy lifting, I just put the pillows where she told me to.
We also made the decision to sort out our
wardrobes floordrobes. You know when all you wanna do is sleep, so you just take your clothes off and leave them on the floor instead of hanging them up? Yeah, that.
I saw a funny tweet the other day that said “Sometimes I put clean clothes back into the washing machine because I just can’t deal with putting them away yet.” Yeah, that.
(Please note, that photo is from after I dumped my entire actual wardrobe onto my temporary floordrobe)
Some I kept. Some I threw. Some I put in a charity bag. I know that if I just kept on top of the floordrobe throughout the week, then I wouldn’t have to spend my weekend tidying it up. But…

We were going to Feng Shui the bedroom as well but we lost motivation.
Until tomorrow, maybe next weekend…
