Today was better. Nan was allowed on day release from the hospital, because apparently hospitals close at weekends so they encourage all the patients to go home for a bit as long as they’re back in their hospital beds by 9:30pm. Which she was.
She was allowed back to her house, and we all went round, Mum cooked a banquet large enough for a small army, and everything was good. Really good. It was easy to forget that Nan is ill with us all sat around laughing, her in high spirits, making jokes, telling stories. It was just like normal. Except not.
Until tomorrow, whatever happens, at least we can still have days like today.
