Ferry

September 27th 2015

Today I am a third of the way to Rome. Ish.

To get to Rome from Dubrovnik I require three forms of transport.

A bus to Split.

A ferry to Ancona.

A train to Rome.

So far I’ve done the bus journey and I’m now just waiting to get on the ferry. All in all its a 30 hour journey, door to door. The longest trip we’ve done so far, via the most forms of transport.

A ferry will be fun though, something a bit different from the same view (fields) from the same train window every four days.

The views from the bus on the way here were mad, too. It was this long coastal mountainous path that winded all the way from Dubrovnik to Split.

And as long as I’ve got something pretty to look at, or a good book to read, I’m not bothered by long journeys anymore.

Until tomorrow, I’ll see you in Rome.
