August 1st 2015
Today it is August. Which means that I go travelling this month. THIS MONTH. I’m excited now. I just want to be done with work, I want to see the world, I want to see things, I want to see my girlfriend. I no longer want to see the inside of a restaurant, I want to see the inside of a restaurant but from the other side of the table.
I’m really excited now. I can’t wait to go. I’m not normally one for countdowns because it usually makes the thing to which you are counting down arrive slower, but time is defined, time does not speed up or slow down (mostly) a second is a second and a day is a day and a week is a week and I am less than two weeks away from leaving.
It being August today also means I am entering my eighth consecutive month of daily blogging. One blog post every day for seven entire months. I am five months away from an entire year, but for three months of that I am going to be travelling Europe. And I don’t know how good the Internet will be.
It’s the 21st century, there’s internet everywhere, right?
Most of the places we are staying in will have Internet, but if they don’t then I might have to start getting creative. If all else fails then I can turn my mobile data on at a cost of £2 for one day. So if I don’t have wifi somewhere then it’ll cost me £2 to post a blog. But I’ll do it, because I am going to make it to January 1st 2016 having written a blog post every day for an entire year. And that’ll be cool.
The good thing is that during travelling my blog posts are sure to be slightly more interesting than they are now.
Until tomorrow, I look forward to that.
